Air Conditioning Maintenance
Don’t let a lack of maintenance leave you sweating when the heat hits. If your cooling system isn’t serviced regularly, it can lose efficiency and drive up your energy bills. Our Complete Care Tune-Up keeps your system running at peak performance—so when that first hot day of summer arrives, you’ll stay cool and comfortable without the wait.
Why Annual AC Maintenance Matters in Billings
Billings summers hit fast. When temperatures climb into the 90s and 100s, your air conditioner shifts from background appliance to essential equipment, and that's exactly the wrong time to find out it's been quietly losing efficiency all spring.
An annual tune-up isn't just routine maintenance. It's the difference between catching a worn capacitor in April (a minor repair) and having your compressor fail on the hottest weekend of August (a major one). A well-maintained system runs cooler, costs less to operate, and lasts years longer than one that's neglected.
One hour of professional attention each spring keeps your system ready — and keeps your summer comfortable.

What Happens During Your Tune-Up
Every Complete Care Tune-Up is performed by a trained ACT technician, not a subcontractor, not someone who's never seen your system before. They work through the full checklist above, but their job doesn't stop there.
If they spot something developing, like a contactor showing wear, refrigerant running low, or a motor drawing more current than it should, they'll tell you about it in plain language and let you know what it would cost to address. No pressure, no upsells. Just the information you need to make a good decision before a small issue becomes an expensive repair.
That transparency is what keeps ACT customers coming back for 10, 15, even 20 years.

When Should You Schedule Your AC Tune-Up?
The best time to schedule is spring, before the first heat wave arrives. Once temperatures spike, our schedule fills up fast, and wait times grow. Homeowners who book in April and May get their pick of appointment times and go into summer knowing their system is ready.
That said, it's never the wrong time to service your AC. If your system hasn't been tuned up in the last 12 months, scheduling now (even in mid-summer) is still worth it.
Signs your AC is overdue for a tune-up:
- Your energy bills have crept up without explanation
- The system takes longer than it used to reach your set temperature
- You notice more dust in your home than usual
- It's been more than a year since anyone serviced the system
- You can't remember the last time it was tuned up
Pair Your Tune-Up With the Membership Program
A one-time tune-up is a great start. The ACT Membership Program takes it further: scheduling your annual AC and furnace tune-ups automatically, putting you first in line for repairs, and unlocking exclusive member pricing year-round.
Most members spend less on HVAC over the life of their systems than homeowners who only call when something breaks. It's a straightforward value, and it means one less thing to remember.
Have a Problem Right Now?
A tune-up is about prevention. If your AC is already struggling (not cooling, making noise, or not turning on at all) you need a repair, not a tune-up.
