What to Expect on Installation Day

Mini-split installations are notably cleaner and less disruptive than central HVAC work. There's no ductwork to run, no major wall or ceiling openings, and no multi-day job for a single-zone system. Here's the general sequence:

• Outdoor unit placement — The condensing unit is mounted on a wall bracket or pad-mounted, positioned for proper airflow clearance and drainage.
• Indoor air handler mounting — The wall-mounted air handler is positioned at the optimal height and location to ensure even air distribution throughout the room.
• Conduit routing — A small opening (typically 3 inches) is made through the exterior wall to route refrigerant lines, the power cable, and the condensate drain. Line sets are typically run in a protective conduit along the exterior wall.
• Electrical connection — The system is connected to a dedicated circuit. If your electrical panel requires an upgrade to accommodate the new circuit, we'll discuss that with you before proceeding.
